If you are a prospective student she can offer advice as to the entry requirements and the relevant standards expected to maintain your continued participation in the programme. Pera is responsibile for organising tutorials and holding wānanga for the entire core papers in Part I and II throughout the tertiary year. Background
Tena koutou katoa,
I recently completed my law and arts undergraduate degrees in November 2009. I have also completed the Professional Legal Studies course with IPLS whilst pursuing a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) degree in Maori Studies. I have since been appointed as the Pouāwhina Māori. In my time as a student at the university, I was heavily involved with Te Rākau Ture (TRT), as the Co-President in 2008 and Secretary in 2009. TRT was essentially a whanau away from home. Being both Maori and Samoan, family is very important to me, so having a network of students at university who shared similar values was extremely comforting and rewarding.
I am very passionate about helping Maori law students succeed in their studies so I encourage each of you to utilise the MAP programme which has been established for your own benefit.
