Admission and enrolment

To apply for admission to the University and enrol in a programme follow the steps below.

Apply for admission to The University of Auckland and a place in the programme of your choice

Do you have internet access, or can you come on to campus? (Make sure you apply by the closing date – see Important dates)

  • Click on Apply Now
  • Complete the online application, specifying your programme(s) of choice.
  • All first year law applicants apply for:
    • the Bachelor of Laws Part I AND
    • another degree programme for your non-law courses.
    If you have gained the University Entrance Standard and are admitted to another programme of this University you will be admitted to LLB Part I.

    If you are a graduate, or already enrolled in another University of Auckland bachelors programme, you will be admitted to LLB Part I.

Offer

If you are selected for a place in a faculty programme, an "Offer of a place in a programme" letter or email will be mailed to you.

Contact the faculty for information on mid-year (Semester Two) application closing dates.

Accept

Accept or decline your offer of a place in the programme online. Remember - you still need to enrol in courses

Enrol in your courses - Faculty of Law

Once you have accepted the offer of a place in the programme and once your admission to the University is confirmed you may enrol in the relevant courses. Enrol in Law 121G in the first semester and Law 131 in the second semester. You must also enrol in 6 non-law courses drawn from other degree programmes you have selected.

If you have any questions you can:

  • refer to to publications relating to your programme or go to www.law.auckland.ac.nz
  • talk to a student adviser at the law school.
When you are successfully enrolled, you will receive an invoice for your fees. You need to pay this by the date indicated on your invoice.

 

 

*You can check the status of your application online using your login and password. Your final offer of a place is dependent both on you gaining admission to the University (which for school leavers may be dependent on your final school results) and assessment by the Faculty.
