Dr Andrew Stockley is the Dean of the Faculty of Law. He was previously the Senior Tutor and a Fellow of Brasenose College, Oxford, where he was also a member of the Law Faculty. He has been Head of the Law School at the University of Canterbury and was Principal of College House in Christchurch for ten years. He has published widely on constitutional law issues, including the role of the Crown, judicial independence and proportional representation. He has also written on eighteenth century diplomatic and political history.
