Class of '88 celebrates its 25th anniversary reunion at Old Government House

The LLB class which graduated in 1988 celebrated its 25th Anniversary at Old Government House on 21 March. Over 50 of the class were charmed by Associate Professor Bernard Brown’s poetry and entertained by fellow classmate and comedian, James Elliot.

There was a great range of talent amongst alumni from the class of ‘88 who attended on the night, including a talented photographer, artist and acclaimed sculptor and writer, an ex-cabinet minister, a judge, a Dame, in-house lawyers, people not working as lawyers in other organisations, a property developer, a comedian, mums, dads, and others who are still finding their vocation. A great many stories and laughs were exchanged during the evening. Jennifer Caldwell provided copies of the class photo from 1987 – a source of amusement for many of the attendees.

Having enjoyed the benefits of an Auckland Law School degree for 25 years, the class of ’88 committee invited  fellow alumni to join in supporting a student at the Auckland Law School. Class members hope they can collectively raise $3,000 or more to support the top domestic LLM student in 2014. For more information on the grant and details of how to donate please visit:
