Global Financial Ethics in the Age of Trump Event as iCalendar

(Faculty of Law events, New Zealand Centre for Law and Business, Public lectures, Commercial Law)

06 June 2017

5 - 7pm

Summary
This lecture will begin with an overview of what “global financial ethics” is, why and to whom it matters, and how it is applied (or not applied), plus explain the work of the non-profit Seven Pillars Institute.
Both the deep philosophical and financial theories underpinning the practice of financial ethics will be covered, and the current state of this practice in banks and securities firms world-wide reviewed.

Then, the lecture will focus on case studies from the Trump Financial Ethics Watch Series of the Institute, that is, the myriad of global financial ethics issues arising in the Trump Administration. Additional case studies, such as Bitcoin, also will be noted.
